Here is some of my graphic work that I would like to share with you. Most of them are from various game projects
I have been involved with. Click the thumb nails to enlarge.
This is a Hack'n'Slash type of Game Prototype featuring the little dude from my other game Future Delivery Boy. I have done the coding myself in this one, and I have plans for many new cool features.
- WARCRAFT CAT CREATURE -
This was my application for the Blizzard Art Contest 2006. Those who are familiar with World of Warcraft know the
silly design of the Tauren druid cat form. This is how it would look if I got to redesign it. Actually, I was picked
as the winner for the class (3d Warcraft character), but it turned out residents in Sweden was not allowed
to participate in the contest, so I had to be content with a
honourable mention.
The cat is done in 3D Studio Max and textured with Deep Paint 3D and Photoshop.
- BTR70 -
This Russian BTR70 has 2985 triangles, 1024x1024 texture map and bump map. I have done modelling in 3D Studio Max,
texture maps in Photoshop and the Shockwave animation in Macromedia Director.
- FUTURE DELIVERY BOY -
Beside the fonts, I have done everything visual in this web game, including modelling, textures,
animation, HUD layout and scripting, particle systems, level design, enemy patterns, etc. You can
find more screenshots and play the game on the
DragonMynd Studios site.
To the left you can see overview shots of two levels from Future Delivery Boy. There are 15 levels plus
one bonus level in the game, with four types of environment settings; farmland, city, space and computer.
- FUTURE DODGE BOY -
Future Dodge Boy is a remake of the classic arcade game 'Head On'. It was the first Director project
for DragonMynd Studios, and originally had a different look and name. After finishing Delivery Boy,
I reskinned and renamed this game to the same style as Delivery Boy. This game is also playable at the
DragonMynd Studios site.
- RENDERED 3D -
- RATROD -
This ratrod was made for a Roadkill Warriors teaser movie. The car itself is modeled by an artist called Earl. I took over and finished the model, pimped it a bit and made textures for it.
- DARK DISCOVERY -
I made this scary picture to learn Autodesk Maya. I modeled in low poly meshes and used subdiv proxy to create high res models out of them. Textures are done in Photoshop.
- A-RUNNER -
This was made to be an intro movie for a game a friend was working on. Neither the game nor the animation was ever finished.
- BEAT'EM'UP GAME-
I made this gladiator guy and the Roman background for a beat'em'up game project back in the nineties. This Mortal Kombat
clone was using pre-rendered 3D. It runned on VGA, so the palette was limited to 256 colors.
The background used 128, and characters got 64 colours each. I learned 3D Studio Max, Photoshop and Fireworks during this project.
- 2D STUFF -
- CONCEPT ART: HELLGAME -
I made this for a board game called Hellgame. The guys designing the game liked it and wanted like 80 more
images in three months, which was impossible as I had another job. The Asteroth picture is my first try at
digital painting, and the lesson learned was: buy a Wacom pad, drawing with mouse takes forever. With the
'Racially Superior' piece I tried a style that was radically faster (it's a coloured pencil drawing), but
the Hellgame guys didn't think that style would fit their game.
- CONCEPT ART: DOMINATION -
Domination Second Dawn was a strategy web game I was developing with some friends. We won second price with it
in KTH Game Awards 2003. You could chose between playing Ruler, Trader etc and the races human or Darkling (as the third picture).
- OTHER -
First one is from a platform game project for the Amiga. Next is a logo for the Evolving World group that I did Domination Second Dawn with. The last one is a self portrait in oil on canvas.
